Brandon Barford

Director of International Policy Analysis

Brandon Barford is a London-based policy analyst and strategic advisor working with Observatory Group, a research firm focused on geopolitical, macroeconomic, and policy analysis across four geographies—the United States, Europe, Japan, and China. At Observatory Brandon works with the senior leadership of both investor and corporate clients to offer predictive analysis of policy changes across a variety of sectors for each of the four regions. This analysis is then translated into actionable advice on how to mitigate the risks and take advantage of the opportunities presented by these developments.

Previously, he was the co-founder and partner for ten years at a leading US-based policy research company providing global investors and corporations with predictive policy analysis. Earlier in his career Brandon worked as Professional Staff for the US Senate Banking Committee and for the UK parliament in the House of Commons.

Brandon is a graduate of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he received a Master of Public Administration degree focusing on the relationship between business and government. He is also a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science where he received a Master of Science degree in European Political Economy from the European Institute. For his undergraduate degree, Brandon studied History at Boston College, where he graduated cum laude and with departmental honours.
