Senior Washington Analyst

Nate Hodson joins the Observatory Group after nearly two decades of experience at the highest levels of American policy and politics. Most recently, he served as the top staffer for the influential Committee on Energy and Commerce in the U.S. House of Representatives. In this role, he led policy development, political strategy, communications efforts, and negotiations that shaped critical sectors of the U.S. economy, from energy and healthcare to technology and telecommunications. As the chief adviser to the Committee Chair, Nate developed key relationships and a deep understanding of the complex legislative and regulatory landscapes governing major federal agencies, departments, and commissions.

Before his time with the Committee, he held senior policy, political, and communications roles for several veteran members of Congress, including six years as a senior staffer in Congressional leadership. A native of Kentucky, Nate currently resides in Washington, D.C.
